Riccardo Risaliti studied at Conservatorio "L. Cherubini" of Florence (Italy), with Rio Nardi and Luigi Dallapiccola. Other professors who were important for him were Nikita Magaloff, Carlo Zecchi and Sergio Lorenzi.
He began himusical activity as an accompanist at Conservatorio "L. Cherubini" of Florence, at the Accademia Musicale Chigiana and at the Teatro Comunale di Firenze. At the meantime, he published articles as a musical critic for newspapers such as "La Nazione" of Florence and specialized magazines as "Piano Time".
After winning awards in many piano competitions, he began his concert activity. He made his debut with the Orchestra of Maggio Musicale Fiorentino and played for associations and festivals such as: Teatro alla Scala di Milano, Accademia di Santa Cecilia di Roma, Festival di Brescia e Bergamo, Teatro La Fenice di Venezia, RAI di Roma e Torino, among others.
As a soloist, he often made peculiar repertoire choices. He recently began to play contemporary music,being the first pianist to play some works of important composers of our time.
Prof. Risaliti is an active piano teacher. He began his teaching activity at the Conservatory "G. Rossini" of Pesaro. Later, he moved to the Conservatory "G. Verdi" of Milan, where he taught for more than thirty years.
Prof. Risaliti is a member of the faculty of the prestigious piano academy "Incontri col Maestro" of Imola since its foundation. He teaches regularly at the Summer Academy of the Universität Mozarteum of Salzburg and at the Festival delle Nazioni of Città di Castello.
As a musicologist, he held many conferences on piano repertoire and interpretation. Moreover, he edited many critical editions of musical scores, both classical and contemporary.
