Nicola Pantani was born in Rimini in 1995. He began studying piano at twelve years old, under the guidance of Prof. Davide Tura. In 2008 he was admitted to the Istituto Musicale Pareggiato ”G. Lettimi” in the class of Prof. Enrico Meyer. He is currently attending the last year of his Bachelor’s degree.
He attended masterclass with distinguished pianists, such as Alfredo Speranza, Riccardo Risaliti, Orazio Maione, Enrico Pace, Claudio Martinez, Jeffrey Swann, Filippo Gamba, Benedetto Lupo, Roberto Plano and Leonid Margarius.
Mr. Pantani won prizes in many national and international competition, both as a soloist and as a chamber musician. As solo pianist he won the following prizes: First prize at the national competition “Città di Riccione”, at “Giorgio e Aurora Giovannini” in Reggio Emilia, at “Città di Piove di Sacco” and at “Andrea Baldi” in Bologna, second prize at the International competition for young musicians “Luigi Zanuccoli” in Sogliano. As a chamber musician he won the first prize at the national competition “Lodovico Agostini”, together with flutist Isotta Violanti.
In September 2014 Mr. Pantani performed Saint-Saens piano concerto nr. 2 with the Orchestra Sinfonica Abruzzese, under the baton of Nil Venditt.
In 2015 he was selected to perform Liszt’s cycle "Deuxième annèe de pèlegrinage: Italie" at the Expo in Milan, together with other pieces written by Italian composers.
He forms a duo with pianist Elisa Rumici. Together they won the first prize for piano four hands at “Musica insieme” competition in Musile di Piave.
Moreover, he performed in many cultural events in Rimini.
